JEREMY CHONTOW
COMPOSER FOR MEDIA
I went to Shenandoah University in 2016 for composition. I became classically trained and completed coursework in theory, notation, and orchestration. Composing for ensembles like Roomful of Teeth, Sybarite5, and Nordic Affect, I was able to apply these skills head on, managing larger chamber ensembles.
Graduating in 2020, I left with a passion for film scoring. Between 2021 and 2022, I started a remote freelance career working with filmmakers around the country. I’ve scored over a dozen short films that have premiered in festivals on both coasts of the U.S and provided music for licensing to Ninja Tracks and Artlist.
In the summer of 2022, I had the pleasure of being selected as a participant throughout the NYU Film Scoring Summer Workshop. I worked closely with industry composers, executives, and supervisors honing in on my craft and understanding the world of the trade.
Today, I continue to manage a growing network of clients implementing new sounds, techniques, and skill sets.
